Brandon Bates

Owner and water treatment specialist dedicated to helping local families improve water quality.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying

From New Castle to Vail, here’s what Western Colorado homeowners say about working with us.

Gee, I hated dealing with Culligan Water and my daughter found Bates for me. They came to my house and low and behold after speaking with them, I had them pull out my Culligan drinking water system. They installed a Bates drinking water system, it is half the price of Culligan and will be less expensive to maintain. I must say I am a happy woman to never have to deal with Culligan again. I highly recommend this company.

****EDIT TO PREVIOUS REVIEW**** 3/10/23: Bates Water Pros reached out, apologized, and offered to pay to repair the counters and also came out to finish the sink install for free. I really appreciated that they were willing to make this right!! Thank you! 3/1/23: We booked Bates Water Pros to install our new kitchen sink. The man who came out to help us damaged our laminate counters, and also dropped a tool on the floor and damaged our flooring. We stopped the man half-way through the job as we were uncomfortable with him finishing. He also then left our old sink sitting in our front yard. I would not recommend Bates Water Pros for your plumbing needs.

Water Questions? We've Got Answers.

Is the water test really free?

Yes. We’ll come to your home, test your water on the spot, and explain what we find — no charge and no pressure to buy anything.

What areas do you serve?

The Western Slope, from Parachute to Vail — including New Castle, Glenwood Springs, Rifle, Silt, Carbondale, Basalt, and the surrounding Garfield, Eagle, and Pitkin County communities.

How much does a water system cost?

It depends on your water and your home — which is why we test first and give you upfront pricing. For comparable systems, we’re typically about half the cost of national brands like Culligan, with no surprises.

My water smells like rotten eggs and leaves stains. Can you fix that?

Yes. Sulfur odor, iron and rust stains, and hard water are some of the most common issues out here, and we’ll match the right treatment to your water.

Do you handle wells and cisterns?

We do — well water treatment, disinfection, pumps and storage tanks, plus cistern cleaning and treatment that a lot of companies around here won’t touch.

What kind of warranty do you offer?

We stand behind our work, and the Water-Right equipment we install carries strong manufacturer warranties (for example, a 10-year tank warranty on softeners). We’ll walk you through the specifics for your system.
